How do I edit my itinerary — add, remove, and rearrange?

Question

I have an itinerary. How do I change it — swap attractions, add days, reorder stops?

Every itinerary you generate or convert is fully editable. This guide covers every editing operation, step by step.

Opening the editor

Your itinerary opens in the planner automatically after generation. You can reopen it anytime from My Trips.

Rearranging activities (drag & drop)

Each activity card has a ⠿ drag handle on its left edge.

  1. Press and hold the ⠿ handle.
  2. Drag the activity up or down — within the same day, or into another day.
  3. Release to drop it in the new position. The day lists and the map view update immediately.
Tip: The order you set here is the order Biubiu assumes you'll visit things, so it matters for sensible routing.

Adding activities

Every day has an ➕ Add Activity button:

  1. Click it to open the add panel.
  2. Type in the search box — for example, "tea house" — or browse the recommendations shown for that city (each suggestion shows its rating).
  3. Click an entry to add it to the day.

The panel offers regular attractions plus experience categories (shopping, performances, entertainment) so a day isn't just sights.

Replacing an activity (find alternatives)

If an activity doesn't suit you:

  1. Click the swap_horiz (Replace) button on the activity card.
  2. A "Replace ..." panel opens with alternative suggestions.
  3. Pick one and the old activity is swapped out in place — its position in the day is kept.

Deleting activities and days

  • Delete an activity — use the delete control on the activity card. The rest of the day stays in order.
  • Delete a day — use the day's delete option when a day is no longer needed; the remaining days keep their content.
  • Add a day — use Add day after / Add day before on any day to extend your trip. New days start empty, ready for activities or chat suggestions.

Changing the trip frame

The toolbar above the itinerary lets you change the departure city and the start date without rebuilding the plan — all dates shift with it.

Editing by chatting with Biubiu

The planner's chat understands your current plan. Try phrasing like:

  • "Add a restaurant in Beijing"
  • "Move Day 2 activities to the morning"
  • "I want more nature spots"

Biubiu updates the plan in place and explains what it changed.

Saving

Click Save Trip whenever you've made changes — your edits are stored to your account. The Version History button (history icon) keeps snapshots of the plan, so you can review or restore an earlier version any time.

Note: Edits apply only to your own itinerary — library trips you converted are yours to change freely, while the original stays untouched.
