What data does Biubiu use to answer questions?
Updated 2026-08-15
Question
Is Biubiu making things up, or does it have real data?
Biubiu combines three sources:
- A large language model (DeepSeek) — general world knowledge and fluent conversation.
- MagicTrip's China knowledge base — our own curated data: real POIs, routes, food, and local know-how across Chinese destinations. In KB Turbo mode Biubiu actively searches this base for every question and grounds its answers in what it finds. In Flash mode it relies mostly on model knowledge.
- Your conversation context — your destination, dates, and preferences, which it carries through the chat and into the final itinerary.
What this means in practice:
- KB Turbo answers are backed by real, curated data — street-level food tips, seasonal notes, and opening quirks that generic models rarely know.
- The itinerary generator structures what you agreed on into a day-by-day plan rather than inventing from scratch.
Note: Our knowledge base focuses on China destinations. Outside that, Biubiu relies on its general knowledge — and if it's unsure, it should say so rather than guess. If it doesn't, see Biubiu answered wrong — what should I do.
